Connecting to the camera via USB
Check the type of cable.
Use a USB Type-C cable.
Use of genuine Canon products (Interface Cable IFC-100U or IFC-400U) is recommended.
Check the USB settings on the camera.
Check the camera settings and make sure it is ready for USB connection.
Press the camera's [MENU] button to display the menu.
On the MENU screen, select [Choose USB connection app] on the tab below.
Select [Photo Import/Remote Control].
Connect the camera and smartphone with a cable.
Please review the app settings.
Depending on the model of your smartphone, you may be able to connect by changing the [Connection mode].
Select [Connection mode] from the button in the upper right corner of the top screen and set [Prioritize connectivity with camera].
Check your smartphone settings.
Depending on the model of your smartphone, you may need to enable the ability to communicate with devices connected via USB.
The name of the function varies depending on the model of the smartphone, but if there is an item called [OTG], turn it on.
