Statement About Mirror and Privacy

Mirror is an app developed by Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our") that provides you with a virtual mirror, skin condition analysis, and skincare tips, among other content and services. Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.


1 How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

Mirroring
Mirror allows you to see yourself on the screen of your device. For this purpose, your images will be captured in the front camera preview. Images stored when using the mirror feature will not be uploaded to the Cloud and will only be processed and stored locally on your device.

Skin condition analysis
Mirror allows you to get an analysis of your skin condition. For this purpose, images of your face will be captured by the camera of your device and then analyzed to assess different aspects of your skin condition and provide relevant skincare tips accordingly. Analysis results can be provided about your skin condition, including scores on the general condition as well as individual qualities such as pores, blackheads, wrinkles, spots, red areas, smile lines, dark circles, pimples, eye bags, skin tone, and skin age. You can also view your records from multiple skin condition analyses. We will access the Camera permission to capture images of your face for the analysis. However, your images and skin condition analysis records will not be uploaded to the Cloud and will only be processed and stored locally on your device.

Discover
Mirror provides you with a Discover feature, which allows you to explore video content about skincare and makeup tips. We will access the Storage permission to cache and play the videos. We will not collect your browsing records.

Improving our products and services
We will collect information about your use of this app, so that we can optimize our service and product designs accordingly to provide a better user experience. Such information cannot be used to identify you individually or be linked with any of your personal information.

2 Required Permissions

Storage: The Storage permission is required to store your image information when you are using this app. Your images will not be uploaded to the servers and will only be processed and stored locally on your device. If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time.

Camera: The Camera permission is required to preview the images from the front camera so you can use the mirror feature. This permission is also required to capture images of your face so you can use the skin condition analysis feature. If you do not need such services, you can revoke this permission at any time, but you will then not be able to use the mirror and skin condition analysis features.

Microphone: The Microphone permission is required to detect sound when you are blowing into the microphone to create a fogging effect using this app. Your information will not be uploaded to any server. If you do not need this service, you can revoke this permission at any time.

You can manage your system permissions from system Settings.

3 Protection of Minors

This app is for adult use only. If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents and legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.

4 Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share personal information with other companies, organizations and individuals unless under the following circumstances:

4.1 Sharing with your explicit authorization or consent: We will share your personal information with other parties after obtaining your explicit consent.

4.2 Sharing under legal circumstances: We will share your personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, legal procedures, litigation/arbitration, government mandatory orders, and regulatory requirements.

4.3 Sharing your personal information to third parties (including industrial organizations such as the Consumer Protection Association) in order to protect the interests, property, or security of you or the public against any potential damages, to the extent required or permitted by law.

4.4 Sharing your personal information to protect national security, public security, and you and other individuals' crucial legitimate rights and interests.

4.5 Sharing your personal information when required as part of a merger, acquisition, business transfer, or bankruptcy liquidation. In this case, we will require new companies and organizations that hold your personal information to continue to be bound by this Statement.

6 Data Storage Location and Retention Period

The above information will be sent to and stored on servers in the People's Republic of China.

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Statement, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.

Data collected for the purpose of service improvement will be retained on our servers for six (6) months.

In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or by other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, especially if you feel that our processing or handling of your personal information has violated or infringed on your legal rights and/or interests, you may seek external resolution, whether by filing a lawsuit with the people's court in the relevant jurisdiction, submitting a complaint to the industry self-regulation association or relevant government regulatory agencies, or by other means.
