As part of Optimizer, we will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes described in this Statement: Personal data refers to any information that enables Huawei to identify you as a user.

We shall collect and process the following data:

• Basic system information: system version number, system language configuration, and country code configuration
• Carrier information: public land mobile network provider
• Basic app information: SDK version number and system API version
• Device hardware information: device model, device brand, and device manufacturer
• Location information: device region setting
• Unique random identifier: UUID
• Network information: device IP address
• App usage information: virus database version, app hash value, app package name, app file size, app file directory, app installation program, and app signature information
• List of installed apps: list of apps installed by the user

To provide you with the Services, Optimizer requires Internet access and the App list permission to read the list of installed apps on the phone and thereby perform virus scan.

2 How do We Use Your Data?

To provide you with the Optimizer services and fulfill the contractual obligations, Huawei will process and use your personal data for virus scan purposes:

The data is used as follows:

• Virus scan: Avast Software a.s., the provider of the virus scan capabilities, collects and transmits your data described below to its server to implement and improve the virus scan feature: basic system information, carrier information, basic app information, device hardware information, location information, unique random identifier, network information, app usage information, and list of installed apps. You can object to such processing as described in Section 5 below.

3 How Long Do We Store Your Data?

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement.

The specific retention time of your personal data in relation to Optimizer is set out below:
