Connecting to a computer running RealVNC Connect

Begin by signing in to RealVNC Viewer. Providing the computer you want to connect to has been added to your team, it should automatically appear under the team name in the side menu. Simply tap to connect.

You should be prompted to enter a remote access password. Depending on your RealVNC Connect subscription, this is either the password you chose when setting up RealVNC Connect, or the user name and password you normally use to log in to your account on that computer.

You can choose to remember the remote access password, in which case connections are quicker in future, though be sure to keep your app secure if you share your device.

Connecting to a computer running other VNC technology

RealVNC Viewer can connect to computers running VNC technology other than RealVNC Connect, for example VNC Server 5.x, Apple Remote Desktop, AMX touch panels or third party VNC-compatible software.

There's no facility to automatically discover these computers; they will never appear under your team. You must know the current IP address or hostname, and in addition you will likely need to reconfigure intermediate firewalls and routers.
